Paused tracks not starting from where I left off.
For the last two updates it no longer saves the place that I left off in the track. I used to be able to pause it using the widget while listening to mp3 podcasts and audio books, return later and it would continue from where I left off. I could do this even after I restarted the phone or mounted it as a external drive on my PC. It would always play from the point I paused it. Now it restarts from the beginning of the track I paused on. This is without turning off the phone or anything. This gets very frustrating when you're an hour or two into the track and it starts from the beginning. You have to use the slider to find your place on the track. I have also tried it on m4a files and regular length mp3 song tracks and the same issue occurs. I have the HTC EVO 4G running the latest Gingerbread rom and the latest Winamp version for Adroid.

Exact same problem, the track starts over if I leave winamp for too long, this is in the free winamp 1.2.2. I use winamp android for podcast and audio books. I reverted back to winamp 1.1 so I could get this feature back.

Yes, this really bugged me for while. I went back to v1.1.1. Not sure why they found it necessary to remove this feature unless they only want music lovers to use WinAmp.

I got tired of waiting for them to correct the issue. Even after numerous updates and them stating the problem was fixed still no joy. Went back to 1.1.1 and will not be upgrading or purchasing. Will use the old version until I find something that does the same wireless sync. Any suggestions?

I'm annoyed by this as well. I started to use different players more often.

I've just tried WinAmp Android (1.2.7) for the first time and I was considering buy the Pro version. However, 1.2.7 also does not resume tracks at the point where they were paused, which makes it useless for listening to podcasts. The notes for version 1.2.7 here indicate that this has been resolved, but comment #4 at the bottom of the page indicates that the bug has not been fixed yet.
