Error resolving stream host [waiting 30s]

I've been fighting with shoutcast for a few days with no luck. As you can
see below I get an "Error resolving stream host". Could you please help me?
Thanks. I am also running an Apache web server at /var/www and I have shoutcast
sitting in /var/www/radio.

seriously ... use the config maker to make the configs

there's so much wrong or missing between those two configs it's no wonder trans wont connect to serve

oh, and don't put shoutcast and it's config files in a folder served by apache ... you can if you want, but apache has nuff all to do with shoutcast ... but anyone will be able to get your config files, see your password, and nuff you over

That should do it

the configs are ok - are the minimal example ones which is what the config builder would output anyway.

however there is a bug in the 'inheritconfig' handling which is causing the serverip to be removed and so make the Transcoder just try to connect to ":8000" instead of "127.0.0.1:8000".

commenting out the 'inheritconfig' line will get it working until i get a newer Transcoder build released.

Although I'm also having trouble getting my shoutcast server running, there are two things I wanted to mention.
I'm also running Apache and if I have apache set to listen on the same port as the shoutcast server is running, the shoutcast server usually wont start. You might want to add a portbase=xxxx to set a port other than port 80 or any port that apache might be listening on.
