Winamp exits between uses???

All,
I just started using Winamp. I want to use it as my only music player (at least for now), and I'm having a slight problem. Every morning when I go to work, and every evening when I drive home, I have to restart Winamp before I can play music. BTW, I don't normally listen to music during the day.

1. Is there some kind of setting that will keep Winamp running all the time

2. If not, is there an app that will restart it when I get back in my car???

This is a bit of an old thread, but if you're still looking for a solution you could try AutomateIt.
