yeah i hate that too ted, it seems like auto manufacturer's test sun visors before shipping the cars to be sure that it's totally impossible to adequately block the sun with them.
then again a lot of the times it'd probably cut into driving vision areas of the windshield though.
just another reason why we need to start bugging carmakers about my computer screen windshields idea, camera inside the passenger area takes note of the angle/position of your head and eyes which the front windscreen uses to black out an extremely small portion of the windshield just barely big enough to block the glare, turn a corner, or your head the blacked out part would follow the sun.
I hate everyone, so you don't have to.
