Some extra information for Dev's.
I removed all the aac files (m4a/mp4) from my memory card, and uploaded some mp3's. The mp3's had a bitrate of 128kbps, and they played continuously with no issues experienced. I then removed all those mp3's, and reverted back to uploading 2x aac (m4a/mp4) media files. The first two I uploaded had a bitrate of 56kbps, and these failed to play continuously, I replaced these files with another 2 acc files with a bitrate of 128kbps, and again they failed to play continuously. It was noticed that on every occasion the first media file being played would end with 2 seconds to go. Example: Track 1 = 4.25 seconds in length would finish at 4.23seconds, and winamp would revert to home screen with a message saying "play queue cleared". Yet, going to view the play queue will still show the list of media files. I tried this with having the equaliser OFF, and crossfade OFF, and having equaliser On and crossfade off, and with equaliser ON and crossfade ON. On all occasions, the acc media file would end with 2 seconds before the end. As I say, this is only happening with the acc media files. I suppose I could upload all my media as MP3, and continue to enjoy the winamp experience, and have less media stored. Though, the whole point is to utilise my limited capacity by being able to play acc media files at a lower bitrate without loss of quality, compared to the same bitrate in say mp3. Like I've mentioned in the previous post, other media players are playing the acc media files continuously. Therefore, at present I'm thinking this maybe a bug in winamp? Do you require any other information with this matter? |
