see the http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=189504 and then change the pledit text file and you will need to change some of the bitmap files as well if you're wanting all of the text changed from green (as pledit.txt only works on the playlist editor list and not what is shown in the main window / frame parts of the playlist editor, etc).

Thanks¡
I´ll give it a try. So...if i understood it right, there´s no way of changing colors of original Base skin...so all i have to do is to step the REAL base skin with another base skin, so i'll earn a pledit text for configuration Hope it works with Winamp 2.8 Thanks again Pablo |

the base skin is hard-coded into the winamp.exe so unless you start binary editing things (never a good thing to do if you don't know what you're doing), it's easier to just create a new copy of the base skin and edit and use that instance. plus you only need to really leave the files that you edit as Winamp should revert to the built-in image files if not found.
though if you're using v2.8 then that base skin isn't the same as what you'll find in v2.8 as its taken from v5.51 (and why you're using something which is so old / buggy is beyond me). -daz |

If you use this patch skin approach you will need to include a copy of the BALANCE.BMP as well. For whatever reason(legacy perhaps) Winamp will fall back to cutting the centre from the VOLUMe.BMP if BALANCE.BMP is missing. Consequence is that the balance slider looses it's endpoints. UJ |

We like to encourage users to use the Search functions to find answers, so additional info is not really out of place or time.
You've been around long enough to know that many queries could be sorted out with a simple forum search, and a lot quicker too. I guess there comes a point when old threads become redundent, but 7 months seems a bit short ![]() UJ |
