how to make a mobile application for shoutcast

Hello,

I recently setup a server for shoutcast wich is fully functional now.
the next step was making an android application that can play the music that is being streamed by the server.
I know how to make an android application, however i don't know how to recieve the data from shoutcast, simply reading the url or the .pls doesn't work.

has anyone got expierence with this and knows where to start with this problem?

dear regards

I was successful in doing this for with android and my shoutcast station Wilder1Radio which is on the Android market now, however the program I used is not available anymore. If you find a way to do this please let me know. I did have some success with eclipse getting the stream to play however it's just a page and I want to control the look of the page and I have not figured that part out yet.

Again if you find a method please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

1. Append /;stream.mp3 to the end of your stream. i.e. http://255.0.0.0:9000/;stream.mp3
2. Streaming is not supported prior to Froyo (2.2)
3. Use AsyncPlayer instead of MediaPlayer: http://developer.android.com/referen...yncPlayer.html
