there are a few wifi sync issues, discussed here: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=329255 and my problem, here: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=340102
the problems summed up (mine is 1): 1. music sync, as ddraper put it " An initial and obvious problem is that Android on the PC cannot identify files it just synced to the device. I can remove all files on the device, then start a sync. Eventually the sync will stop but there is no way to cancel so you just have kill Winamp and start over. Then reconnect with Wifi again and attempt a full sync again. The popup windows now shows most of the files is just synced to the device as "not in the PC library" and ask to delete them or leave alone. What? Sure enough it will attempt to resync the very files that just got transferred." 2. playlist sync, as mb84 put it "I have the same issues while syncing multiple playlists with my Samsung Galaxy S. These are about 10 playlist having varying number of songs (10 up to 150). Winamp freezes while syncing the playlists, only a partial, corrupt sync is done." |

App: Winamp for Android 1.2.9 with Pro Bundle
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Nexus 16GB (O2 UK) OS: Android 4.0.1 Baseband: I9250XXKK1 Build: ITL41F Music location: /sdcard/Music/Artist/Album/Track Title.flac Note: The Galaxy Nexus /sdcard dir is actually on internal phone storage. Issue with frequent popping/jittering as if the headphone output is being turned off and back on again very quickly or the song is buffering or the cpu is struggling. Only present when the phone has screen off/locked. Manually keeping the screen on by tapping it every 30s prevents the pops/jitters. The pops/jitters are not at even intervals. I'm playing FLACs exclusively. Only noticed after I upgraded to Winamp Pro. None of the Replaygain settings affect the issue. Winamp non-Pro and the stock music player can play the files perfectly whilst screen is off/locked (not gapless or using Replaygain though). Tried uninstalling then re-installing Winamp several times. Issue is 100% repeatable. Hoping this is the correct place to post Android bug reports. |

Furthermore i tried to work around the sync problem by manually transferring the tracks of my playlist. The playlist contains 145 tracks and I sent them in packages of 10 tracks. This works fine until ich reach approximately track 50. Then the transfer freezes and will be shown as "failed". Now I have to kill Winmap as it will not continue transfering tracks anymore. Sometimes I can transfer more tracks onto my phone but not all. The playlist i created on my phone contains these tracks as Winamp on my PC shows it but when I check the playlist on my phone there is a maximum of around 50 tracks only although it showed me more on the PC. I'm using Winamp since I had my first PC and after I bought an HTC Sensation I'm using it there too. I hope the WiFi sync will be fixed soon. Winamp is great! Cheers!
