Playlists are duplicated each time I sync

Every time I make a sync to my laptop (this is the main reason I chose WinAmp), the playlists which I have generated are repeated again on my SGS S2 Android phone so that I end up with many duplicates.
I can delete them later on the phone, but this is a pain. Any ideas why this may be happening? I have not seen other threads with the same issue..
