Stuttery playback on Galaxy Nexus (Verizon)

Every time I lock my phone while playing a stream on shoutcast, the playback becomes very stuttery. As soon as I turn my screen back on playback becomes normal again, sounds like a CPU idling issue.

This is with regular version and pro version.

same here, locked the home screen, mp3 became all choppy.

It seems the Galaxy S II (SGH-T989) [T-Mobile version] does this as well. I'm going to test it by disabling the screen lock.

It could be the service... But I don't think my coverage is THAT bad. seems pretty consistent when I'm surfing the web on the device.
