/me bangs head on the desk repeatedly.
what does it matter what number a piece of software has? you clearly use Chrome which bumping it's 'main' number all of the time but Firefox doing the same is an abomination... geez, it's only a bloody number. so what if it's now v111 instead of v2.75 - if it has the same changes / fixes in there then being funny about the increasing 'main' number and not installing it just deserves to have issues. and a few months between these large bumps is plenty of time for something to be updated / maintained and if an add-on won't do it then really that add-on isn't worth the time of day. (and it makes me cranky as i'm fighting to get people to update something from a beta to a non-beta version but am not getting far due to certain sentiments which have been raised in the prior posts) and http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/18/g...y-high-licens/ is the likely reason of the grooveshark issues you're having... -daz |
