Hello,
I was having a hard time transferring music onto my Samsung Galaxy S2 from iTunes to use on my default music player so I figured I'd give Winamp a try since it sounded fairly easy to use. It is indeed a quicker and easier way to transfer music to my phone however all of my music is organized by genre - artist - album - title and when I transfer files to my android lots will show up unknown genre and artists. Is there an easy fix for this, something I'm missing? Android Galaxy S2 (what other info do you need if anything or if there's another thread about this please just link me to it, I couldn't find any myself) |

I figured it out on my own.....
Sure the players all support playback for M4A files however Androids don't retain the details attached to them when transferred over. MP3's have no problem bringing over the artist and album art details. The only difference is Winamp still wasn't able to organize my files by genre while my defaul music player did; Winamp had like 55 "unknown genres" out of the 58 albums I transferred to my phone. Oh well. |
