Are there any plans to ever fix Winamp's Android device support...?

...Or should I be looking for new software?

This fiasco has been going on for far too long now - connect the phone, wait half a minute, still no connection? Unplug, restart Winamp, try again... About 80% of the time, Winamp will simply hang on "Detecting devices..."

Even now, with a brand new Galaxy Nexus (which uses the supposedly easier-to-deal-with MTP), I'm having the same issues with a fresh install of the very latest version of Winamp. I actually have 4 different Android devices here, from three different manufacturers, with 4 different iterations of Android - Winamp fails to reliably recognize any one of them.

What's going on? How do these issues go unnoticed for so long? Do none of the devs use portable devices?

When the devices finally connect, they work fine - transcoding on the fly, file renaming, keeping metadata intact... it's wonderful. But getting there is the most frustrating process I've seen on a PC in about 5 years...

Weeeeeeeeeeee
