Using microphone with crossfader

I've been broadcasting for many years now, and I've always used SqrSoft's crossfader. My station is music only, with no vocal interruptions.

However, I'm thinking about changing things up a bit. I still want to play music using the crossfader, but at times I wish to use the microphone to make various announcements and what not. Is there a way to turn off the crossfader at will at the times I'm about to make an announcement with the mic? And then turn the crossfader back on until the next time I wish to make an announcement? I would hate to have the next song start playing as I begin to talk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
