Actually, you gave me an idea

Maybe there's an option in the media library....I'll try to check

* PC: Intel Core 2 DUO E6550 @ 2.33 GHz with 2 GB RAM: Archlinux w/ xfce4.
* Laptop: Intel Core 2 DUO T6600 @ 2.20 GHz with 4 GB RAM: Debian unstable w/ xfce4.

i didn't find any usable option there.

another idea for a possbile new plugin:
add the possibility to mark files in the library, if they're already in any playlist (allow up to 5 colors, for example).

i've read this thread a few times now and i still don't get what the initial request is (i guess i'm just having a dumb moment).

and with the second request, i doubt that would happen with any of the standard ml views (would impact speed and as the ml+playlist editor are separate entities it wouldn't be a clean process if it would work correctly i think).

can we have a hotkey that places the selected song/songs in to a playlist of our choice??

so set up a playlist in the media libuary called "new" then have a hotkey that sends the selected songs to that play list or one of our choice which is selected in options somewhere?

this would be awsome.

Hi all. I'm searching the same thing. Although right now i'm draging tracks from history, it would be mush easier to make a plugin with shortcuts, so i can sent them to playlists without looking at the monitor, cause i'm using Xor Midi Control to listen music in the dark . Can anyone please make such a plugin? Thank you.

I've wanted a plugin that does exactly this for a while. I tried making one myself, but after lots of researching it seems there isn't a convenient way to modify (add to) media library playlists using the Winamp API calls.

What I ended up doing was just making a plugin that would add the current song to your Bookmarks. This turns your Bookmarks into sort-of a temporary playlist which you can then take what you add to it and put it into a ML playlist yourself. I never use the Bookmarks function of the Media Library so this was good enough for my needs.

You can download it here if this is good enough for you:
