Winamp with Home Sound System

Looking for best practice, please.

Would like to use Winamp with my home sound system. Would like to do so via Wi-Fi out of my laptop, to my home wireless network, wireless into some sound system component box, which then hooks to the home sound system.

I guess, in best case, the said box would have a Wi-Fi connection to my home wireless network. That box would then cable connect to the home sound system. If necessary, I could run a cable from my home network to the sound system component box.

So, with that goal....or a similar goal, has anyone used Winamp in this manner where they are really pleased with the result?
