Where The Listing Go?
For almost 2 years we've been listed on SHOUTcast but for about the past week when searching (either for WRC or Web Radio Classics) nothing is returned.
Has there been a recent problem again with station listings? Thanx |

i'd need to have a link to the DNAS running the stream to see what it is reporting and how it relates to the system. with just a name which is not listed, there is not much i do to start looking into the issue.

Thanks DrO
Let's try this: 64.150.176.9:8246/index.html I can go to the website and the embedded player works fine. The search has just disappeared. |

looks fine to me as the top result from http://www.shoutcast.com/Internet-Ra...20You%20Forgot - search i used was 'The Best Music You Forgot' and it also shows up fine in Winamp's SHOUTcast view.

But why doesn't just WRC or Web Radio Classics show up in the search. Both of which I've used many times. Also on other players (Tune In / ooTunes as examples) all that should be searched on is the call letters. No results are shown in those players.

if the title for the stream does not contain the things you want people to find the stream via then it's not going to be searchable and as you are using a v1 DNAS this can only be changed in the source software you are using to feed the stream.
as 'The Best Music You Forgot' is all that is set, all i can say is to go to the source software you are using and change the title to have WRC &/or Web Radio Classics in there e.g. 'Web Radio Classics (WRC) - The Best Music You Forgot'. -daz |

mmmmmm....The source software has been set to Web Radio Classics - WRC ever since launch 2 years ago. I'll have to check in with the server host...maybe something changed there. BTW: Stream Monster is the worst! I've had the program go into a loop 4 times in the last 12 hours. Time to make a switch. I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks for the input |

i doubt anything would have changed on the DNAS's configuration to change the name and if you're having issues with the source software being used then i wouldn't be at all surprised if that is causing the mess-up with the stream title.
as for alternatives, it depends on what you need and what your current software provides as a must have vs the other paid or free solutions out there - though i'm really not the best person to ask such things (as i'd just say use the free stuff, heh). -daz |

I'm also having the same issue with the listings not updated correctly and publishing wrong information. Here are screenshots of what one of our streams is showing on Shoutcast.com directory; http://prntscr.com/84zpx, but this is what it truly should be showing; http://prntscr.com/84zqd when you open that stream directly from the browser. Our broadcaster is reflecting what is posted in the second screenshot, but obviously there are some elements that are not updating in the shoutcast directory. http://206.51.230.39:8000/
As illustrated above, the only thing that is updating is the Song information. Everything else, including the number of connected users is wrong. This has been happening for the past couple weeks now. Please advise. |

at the time of this reply, i assume that the stream is not running as i'm not able to find any of what is shown in the screenshots against an active DNAS which makes it nigh on impossible for me to check anything in the backend to see what might be going on etc.

Listing Disappeared
Had two streams up and running and both appeared in the SHOUTcast listing.
Since the one host server expired yesterday, the other one has also disappeared from the listing. They were two separate hosting companies, one I was not happy with and made a change. I figured since both showed up when the one was discontinued the other would stay. Thoughts? Web Radio Classics - WRC |
