Media Library Winshade...
Dumbest button ever, seriously. Totally fucks with my skins everytime. Don't even know where the hell it is! Haha
But seriously, why winshade the media library? I don't get it. |

Yeah, it is a pain. Not only does it break all of my skins where the Playlist and the Media Library use completely different formats, it's still animates in a glitchy and broken fashion even when I go out of my way to skin it properly. Heck even in the default classic skin it still kind of bugs out.
I can (barely) understand the idea that some people want to keep the Media Library open but shaded so that they can control it using hotkeys, but... why not just have a hotkey combination to switch to shade mode? Why would they of all people need a visible button? ![]() Who is the milkman? What is the purpose of the goggles? |

No idea, heh. But I've finally finished it pushed my way through that darned thing. IF the dev's still do things focused towards skins it would be sweet if they could do SOMETHING about this. But I doubt it.

Even if the thread is a lil' bit old already.
WinShade mode for the library is part of the Jump To File Extra Plugin, you simply can disable the feature via Preferences > Jump To File > Extras. The feature was requested many times and was part of the Winamp Wishlist for many years, so DrO made it available in his JTFE plugin years ago. i added it in initially just for the skinned jtf window and then people asked about it for the other classic windows and at times it's easier to minimise the library window to get at something behind it vs moving / minimising Winamp as a whole i've found. but then again what do i know *shrugs*
i've always meant to add in a dedicated bmp so that it can be nicely skinned for those wanting to do such things but it's back to the age old matter of time and not deciding on how best to layout the elements and whether to do it as a new bmp completely or adding extra elements to an existing bmp and adding a control check on to it (since it is otherwise pulled from parts of the existing windows and the playlist editor bmps). -daz |
