Audio troubles with rmvb to mp4 conversion
Hey all, I've got about a thousand rmvb video files that I need to convert to mp4 (or any other file type that xbox 360's can read via DVD.
The program that I am using to convert these is called "SUPER" I forget where I found it, it's a fairly simple program but I cannot for the life of me get the audio to be in sync it's driving me insane. Reason why this is for xbox 360 is because the person I'm burning these all up for only has a 360 to watch DVD's on. I've been at it for a week or so, cannot get this shit down. |

Try this:
Encode to an AVI instead of an MP4. Use H264 and PCM audio. Then re-encode that setting the video to copy and the audio to be encoded FAAC with mp4 as the wrapper. One of the things that causes the audio to be out of sync is if you try to encode VBR audio to VBR audio. Making PCM out of it first might cure the sync error. Or it can be another reason technical and unfixable. I have got this problem a lot trying to encode DVD to MP4. This is the way I fix it. I never used it with rmvb. Or you could try making XVID avi's and using mp3. Xbox will play those. Make sure the mp3 is set for constant bitrate encoding. This is my best shot. I dunno if it will work. You also might try ffmpeg. I think part of the problem with Real is that Real doesn't want you to re-encode their video. It's closed source, so basically open source solutions using it are less than optimal. Global Movies and TV God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to hide the bodies of people who pissed me off. |
