my shoutcast stream stopped working!?

About 2 hours ago, I installed 5.621 and had gone to the shoutcast page from where I selected a radio station which in turn began to successfully stream music. After bookmarking the station, I then closed the application.

About 20 minutes ago, I selected the bookmark and the station would not "load" all the way after I press play. The application simply refuses to connect to the station, although my internet connection is working perfectly.

Please help...

what's the url of the stream you've bookmarked as it could be they've stopped broadcasting - as streams aren't guaranteed to be there all of the time as it depends on how long the station can afford to broadcast i.e. not all are 24/7.

Press play but...

...and the station/file/folder fails to play.

For example, when I select a station, it will simply fail to (what appears to me) complete buffering, which results in no result. I even enabled the CPU usage control which did not make a difference.

The odd thing is that once I closed the app and re-opened it, the CPU usage control failed to remain in effect?

Hope you can help...

and once again (hence merging the new thread with the old one) i will ask for an example of a station you are trying to play...

additionally the option you are mentioning (which should be remembered) is not to do with stream buffering so is not too surprising it has no effect.

Press play but...

Hello Daz:

The last time around I simply did an uninstall, which was then succeeded by an install of the latest full version---an outcome that has operated faultlessly until yesterday's issue...

With that said, I proceeded to open Winamp and unlike yesterday, where it failed to lauch any of my preset stations (be it ANC rock, U-rock, 1.FM, or even AVRO baroque etc.), today for whatever reason it came back to life once again---regardless of the station selected.

If there is a reason for this, I'd like to hear it as I am a fan of this application!

Best,

MB
