Cannot reconnect to Shoutcast DNAS
Hi,
Two years ago I ran shoutcast DNAs on my pc to stream my station. Since then I now use a server based stream client. Recently I have changed the way I link to my tower and need to run shoutcast locally again to enable a wireless connection over a network to retrieve the stream. But no matter whatI do I cannot connect to the shoutcast DNAS. The Log follows: Event log: <06/13/12@14:50:18> [SHOUTcast] DNAS/win32 v1.9.8 (Feb 28 2007) starting up... <06/13/12@14:50:18> [main] loaded config from C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast\sc_serv.ini <06/13/12@14:50:18> [main] initializing (usermax:32 portbase:8000)... <06/13/12@14:50:18> [main] No ban file found (sc_serv.ban) <06/13/12@14:50:18> [main] No rip file found (sc_serv.rip) <06/13/12@14:50:18> [main] opening source socket <06/13/12@14:50:18> [main] source thread starting <06/13/12@14:50:18> [main] opening client socket <06/13/12@14:50:18> [source] listening for connection on port 8001 <06/13/12@14:50:18> [main] Client Stream thread [0] starting <06/13/12@14:50:18> [main] client main thread starting <06/13/12@14:50:18> [main] dns thread starting <06/13/12@14:50:30> [source] connected from 127.0.0.1 <06/13/12@14:50:30> [source] icy-name:XXXXXXXXXXXXXX ; icy-genre:Various <06/13/12@14:50:30> [source] icy-pub:0 ; icy-br:320 ; icy-url:http://XXXXXXXXXXXXX <06/13/12@14:50:30> [source] icy-irc:#audiorealm ; icy-icq:NA ; icy-aim:NA My config is: log=1 logfile=/tmp/sc_serv.log screenlog=1 w3cenable=1 w3clog=/tmp/sc_w3c.log yp2debug=0 shoutcastsourcedebug=0 portbase=8000 uvoxcihperkey=XXXXX password=XXXXXXXX adminpassword=XXXXXXXXX yp2=1 ypaddr=yp.shoutcast.com ypport=80 yppath=/yp2 maxuser=32 streamauthhash=XXXXXXXXXXXXXX streamid=1 streampath=/ Now form what I remember that looks like it should work, but no matter what I do I cannot connect to the machine locally or through the internet To connect I presume I use my IP followed by the port :8000. All I get is page cannot be displayed. The machine runs teamviewer, but I have changed the port in advanced admin to not use port 80, so this should not be an issue The router is set with port 8000 open. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I am going wrong please? If anyone has any experience on how I should broadcast from SAM broadcaster to shoutcast then pick it over a local wireless network I would appreciate any advice. Thank you |

locally, use the machines local IP:8000/index.html
from the internet ... have you forwarded port 8000 on the router to the machine running DNAS? General Shoutcast troubleshooting guide

OK, I don't know how competent you are with computers, so if the following seems to be patronising, I apologise in advance
click start click run (the above two steps can be achieved in one by typing Windows+R on the keyboard) type cmd then click OK in the window that opens, type ipconfig then enter key look for something like Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : xxxx Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : xxxx IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.x.x Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 the 192.168.x.x will be your local (lan) IP address General Shoutcast troubleshooting guide
