Album list scroll performance

Hi,

I'm using Winamp 1.2.12 on a Samsung Galaxy S. There are currently 250+ albums on SD card with album art embedded in the individual files.

The performance when scrolling through the album list is very bad. The list stops scrolling at pretty much every or every other album when swiping. "Flick" gestures are completely impossible. Once I have "scrolled" (more like stuttered) through a section of albums, the performance gets a lot better.

It seems like:
1) the album art is not loaded in the background
2) Winamp never caches the album art

As a consequence, I have to use the search feature instead of browsing through my albums. Please fix this.
