Winamp entire album information assign
Hello,
I just downloaded Winamp, as I always heard it was the best multimedia player and I had never tried it. I have been messing with some of its features, getting accustomed to it, and I have two things I'd like to question: 1. I have some songs which don't have any information on them; and there are some albums of which I only have the title of album and the artist and nothing else, etc. I have a friend who also uses Winamp; and I saw he has some kind of plugin that enables him to manually search an online database for artist and album information, and manually assign, for example, all the album info (including the name of songs, cover, year, genre, album info, etc,) to a group of files of his media library. What is that plugin? Or, if it's not any plugin, how can I do or where can I find something similar to this? 2. When searching in the library for my music, I see that, when I filter the listing by album, the songs can get out of order, because I think it filters by album, then by artist (so, when I have a song with "feat. someone" in an album, it gets out of order from the rest of the album). The question is: how can I simultaneously order the songs in my library by album and track number? Thanks in advance, Daedren. |

1. autotagging is built into winamp. highlight all the songs, right click, send to autotagger.
2. make sure you have the right track numbers assigned in the tags, and sort by that column. you'll probably want to figure out some other things, like turning off the meta data guessing winamp does so you can see the true reality of whats in your tags, and learning how to use album artist tags. PENN STATE Radio or http://www.LION-Radio.org/ -- BUG #1 = Winamp skips short tracks Wish #1 = Multiple Column Sorting Wish #2 = Add TCMP/Compilation editing |
