Sometimes I find a naming-mistake,and then I have to change a whole path and also my playlists. I had to make also other check-ups. Today this very nice "Radio Stream" has been picked up for me on the startup... ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♥♥♥♥♥ ★★★★★
But it's a pity, that "turntable" is only available in the United States due to licensing constraints, and I live in Germany, and there would be so much nice music on turntable.fm, which I cannot listen...

My "Main Winamp" has picked up this "Radio Stream" for me today after coming together with Windows. I've had Windows Update incl. rebooting, but with 457 "Radio Streams" (Ambient & Deep House) in my auto-loaded Winamp-Playlist a rebooting is no problem anymore... ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♥♥♥♥♥ ★★★★★

^ deleted the last two. Try these

Welcome to Florida

Bear Suit

Those two sets were deleted because I did those with tractor 2/2.5, which, if you recall, I was complaining of having a messed up sound.

As it turns out, I was not smoking too much ganja when I suggested that. Traktor 2+ incorporated the use of a software limiter to help keep your gain levels in check. That software limiter, like all the rest, causes massive clipping on the bass drum. The blessing is Traktor gives you the option to turn that function off, where most other software does not.

Thanks NI, but I know how to gain adjust my tracks so they are at the same levels coming in and I know how to gain adjust so I won't blow something. I appreciate the effort, but I don't like that because it fucks up the sound; always has and always will.

I think I have noticed that in some of your earlier sets. They occasionally seemed a little thin and anemic (low-end of bass seemed thin), even though I otherwise loved them. Please don't take offense to that, but now that I know what it is, I can mention it without offending anyone since it's the software at fault.

I've been listening to everything linked since my last post. I have a long way to go. I may have to rip/download some of it and place on Winamp for later, because it'll take me a while to get through it all.

I really appreciate all of you posting this music. I can't tell you how nice it is to come home from work and see that people have linked to free music that doesn't suck. Plus, the amount of music (in minutes/hours) is so great that I can't play it enough to get sick of it.

Right now I'm listening to Deep Cult - Equinox 039 Guest Mix [23 March 2011] that someone had posted earlier on this thread. Very relaxing.

Yep Ted you probably have noticed that in some/all of my earlier sets, which were done with Torq, where you would not turn that off. Though at the time, I knew tractor 3/Studio did not do that. Then Traktor Studio 2 came out and the devil returned. But, it made me figure out what it was, and damn... I always wondered why I didn't have the same issues when I played on CDJs...

Don't worry, there is no offense taken; it's been something that has annoyed me for some time now.

Glad to hear you like the sets. It's the reaction that I get from others, be it live or recorded that keeps me going...

Hollywood Undead - Pimpin'

They are a odd band, I don't appreciate their image... Thankfully I can ignore it because you listen to music, not watch it.

Other than their image they are actually not that bad... Which is surprising.

Ted I'll say this, you might not appreciate it. It's more over, get drunk, dance, party hard, younger than 30 type music.

That's the best way I can describe most of their songs. I think their genre is called "Metal Rap" they use metal/rock type melodies instead of heavy bass.

EDIT/ Not all of their songs are tasteless with their lyrics, just most are. some songs that I enjoy more than I should are: Glory, Undead, Been to Hell, Apologize, No Other Place

You've been forewarned.

I would recommend "Been To Hell" that's the song that got me pulled into their style.

They seem to focus most of their songs around the City of LA.... They are rather addicted to that place.
EDIT// Now listening to: Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication

Well, I'll give it a fair try, but as with most music, I will likely see it as time/place/environment dependent. Having the "warning" is good, not so much to prevent me from suffering from music I wouldn't like, but rather giving me the pointers necessary for me to play it in the most suitable setting, where I'd be most likely to enjoy it.

For now the setting seems best to fit more of what I posted before, e.g.

Frank Erickson - Air for Band
Percy Grainger - Irish Tune from County Derry
Pavel Chesnokov - Salvation is Created

Your description fits something I might like at certain times; perhaps when doing firewood work or while trying to take rusted-on lugnuts off my tractor or while putting the snow plow on it, or while changing blades on the mower, or changing oil, or pouring re-sealant on the driveway... you get the drift.

I like fc*uk's sets for the return trip from work driving, since it's about 45 minutes one way, and seems to fit what I like then.

I like Sabine Klare's music either late at night while up feeding the baby or occasionally the morning trip to work...

These aren't necessarily hard and fast rules, but you get the idea.

Don't forget to live before you die.

Yeah that fits very well swing, in fact I listen to it often when I'm wrenching or doing any sort of piss me off so I can work harder type of work.

Sometimes I like to just sit around and listen to everything I've got though, I really should take advantage of winamps more advanced playlist options... Hell I've never played with the media library.

Think of it this way: at least EDM is popular with the mainstream right now. Even though it's been popifized, at least it's a stepping stone towards getting people into the good shit.

Also, music has not gotten shitty. Music on the radio has gotten shitty.
