Song name not showing in Search listing

Hi,

After searching for a radio station name and get results, I noticed that my radio only show .. 'NOW PLAYING' nit the song name as the other listings are.

I do however get it when I click the station name and get the small panel with the embed code etc.

Why am I not getting it in the search listing please?

because you're most likely experiencing bug #7 from http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?p=2790357#known (as seeing 'now playing' on the site listing implies a v2 DNAS being used).

if you're using the v2 DSP, you realyl should be using it in v2 (non-legacy) mode unless you have specific issues forcing you to use the v1 legacy-mode.

based on what you said and your prior posts, if the site listing shows 'now playing' then that implies the use of a v2 DNAS with a source running in v1 legacy mode or you've disabled title updates from the v2 source.

with the vague details from the first post i'm having to guess what you are actually using / doing which wastes both of our time. so what are you using and what modes are things setup to run under?

Hi,

Firstly sorry to confuse.. certainly not my intention. I am the one that is confused!! :-)

My set up is. RadioDj streaming to Edcsat to Shoutcast.

In Output Connection..
Legacy V1 mode is now NOT enabled as it was.
Yellow pages is greyed out altho Server Public is ticked and entries are still there althou greyed out.
Send next track is ticked.
Use Winamp is NOT ticked as I am not using it to play songs.

In Input
Device is Line In (Legacy)
Soundcard is..
LIne In (Legacy)

In Shoutcast Admin sid=1 everything is filled in including Name - Title - time

In http://www.shoutcast.com/Internet-Radio/lonnie
Station name is shown plus.. 'NOW PLAYING'

Although the small pop up shows Name, Title, Time.

So everything is fine except the Listing after the search for 'lonnie'.

if you're using Edcast as the link to the DNAS then that to my knowledge only connects to the DNAS a v1 source and so would match with it being known issue #7.


the listing uses what is provided by the DNAS and is then stored in the YP database. so if nothing gets sent to the YP for the title (as using a v1 source on a v2 DNAS does at the moment), then now playing is expected to be blank.

the player uses what it pulls from the stream since it is getting it directly from the DNAS which is why that works.


it probably seems weird but it's just a bug in the v2 DNAS on how it handles converting the v1 title to a format which can be properly sent to the YP when using the YP2 api.
