Cannot sync - permanently "Connecting"

Hi - I have installed Winamp for Android on my Kobo Vox. I can see the device on my PC (which is running 5.63). I have managed to transfer a couple of tracks onto the Kobo - but if I try to sync, or transfer a Playlist - the Transfer gets stuck at 0%, and the track being transferred has the status of "Connecting". When I click on Kobo Vox (under Devices), I can see the two tracks that I was able to transfer - and I can listen to them.

Any ideas?
