I have no problem using the Nullsoft disk writer plug-in (out_disk.dll) to convert RA or MP3 files to wav, and used to have no problems ripping CDs either with this plug in. Lately, instead of being able to convert CDA's to wav via the disk writer, it just plays the track as if I were just using the wav output plug in. I can use other software to rip my tracks, but I would like to know why the plug-in no longer works for my audio CD's. Thanks

You can't use the default CD input plugin to rip CDA's.
At some point you must've installed the CDReader plugin, but when you upgraded Winamp the default plugin was activated again.
You'll need to remember to disable it each time you upgrade.
Yes, no, maybe?

Re CD input Plug-Inn

Thanks DJ Egg. That was it eggs-actly. Once I disabled the default plug-in and enabled CD Reader, the problem was solved.
