Ripping CD into FLAC - imbeding album art ?

Hi,
I have converted all my CDs to FLAC via Winamp, adding large album art (1400x1400 res). As Winamp by default setting did not embed picture in each FLAC file, but adds the JPEG into the album's folder, and associates it with each song via m3u file thats also in the same folder.

I am curious if this is a common way of ripping in general, and is it album art friendly with most FLAC players? It is not frendly with Google music player for android, nor Win amp for android.

Can Winamp on PC be set to imbed album art into each song while ripping the CD?
If yes, are there image size limitations?
