Playlistception plugin?
Is there such a thing? I want to put my playlists inside a playlist. Like for example, I want to put "House", "trance", etc. playlists inside an "EDM" playlist. Does a plugin for that exist?

I don't know of a plug-in for doing this, but you can select some or all of the items in a playlist opened in the media library window and drag & drop them to the playlist open in the playlist editor window or in reverse. Also items in the playlist editor can be copied to another playlist listed in the media library by using the editor's context menu "Send to" command.
The ability to drag & drop from one playlist within the media library window to another within the media library window was inadvertently broken in version 5.63, but it will be fixed for the next release. Wait, I didn't mean it like that. I mean I already playlists, a lot in fact, and I want to organize them. I know I can just totally put all the songs in playlist A and playlist B into a new playlist C but then that would lose how I organized it in the first place. Like I said, for example I have a house playlist, a trance playlist, a dubstep playlist, I want to put them in a "mother" playlist called the EDM playlist.
Thanks for the reply though. Actually now that I think about it, I don't think "playlist" is the right word, rather, "playlists folder"? |

You can make a folder (with Windows explorer) and copy or move all your playlists to it. When you make any new lists with Winamp, you can name them and save them in the same folder.
When you want to load a playlist, the first time you may have to navigate to the folder. After that Winamp remembers the last folder opened and will automatically go there when you want to load another list. If you have already added playlists to the media library in their current locations, you can select and delete them all. Then select the import from folder command to re-add them from their new location. I don't know of a plug-in that will do all this for you. I understand that you can do that to have the actual playlist file itself, but I'm looking for a "tree" function. Something like this:
Do you get it what I mean? |

Thanks for the help for this btw. I probably sound really annoying but I've spent way too much time looking for a plugin to make this fantasy of mine happen haha.

Ok, A 'tree function' (hierarchical listing). I understand you now. That's not possible with basic WA (as far as I know) and I don't know of a plug-in that will do it. But I'll try to remember to keep an eye out for this. Would not mind having it myself.

That's too bad. I really would love it to happen. I have way too many playlists. Thanks for all the help though.
