Korean text not displaying in title bar, though it's working everywhere else.
Hi. I'm having problems with Korean fonts displaying in the title bar in Winamp. See image:
![]() See it appears as boxes. The fonts are displaying correctly everywhere else in Winamp. See image: ![]() I have installed the Korean language pack in Windows 7, and I'm using Arial Unicode MS as my Winamp font. I have also tried all steps mentioned in this thread. I have no problems with Korean anywhere else in Windows 7, only Winamp. Any ideas why it's not working? |

those screenshots are so small that i cannot work out where in the Winamp UI you're looking at and also what skin and layout of the skin is (i'd have to guess at it being a Bento based skin but guessing is of no use to either of us).

Oh, sorry. Here's bigger ones.
Boxes: ![]() Correct: ![]() The same text that isn't displaying in the title bar is displaying in the library. |

can you confirm what version of Winamp you are using please. though would be simpler with a plug-ins list as per http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....161361#plugins

first thing to try, disable ml_wa2_scrobbler.dll by changing it to ml_wa2_scrobbler.dll.off (is in the Winamp\plugins folder) as plug-ins can cause some parts of the interface to not correctly cope with unicode characters.

Didn't work. Still boxes.
Also, if it helps fix the problem, Japanese also does not display correctly, but Chinese does. |

i haven't had any time to attempt to replicate the issue. i'm sorry but i will try to look into it when i can but Winamp is not my main development focus. what would help when i can look into it is a small sample file (e.g. if you can get the tag copied onto the demo.mp3 shipped with Winamp) which has one of the tags that you're having issues with (would makes things easier to test against).

Ok I think I found a partial workaround by changing all of my system fonts to Malgun Gothic, which supports Korean by default. Is there any way I can change the font in the title pane? Here:
![]() I'll just do that and Korean won't stop working. |
