Winamp volume issue

Dear staff members,

since yesterday I have a volume problem with my winamp free version. I was listening some music, when suddenly the volume of music dropped, at first I though that it's the song... I changed the track, same... I played a movie, same, checked the volume in my PC and it was the same. Next I went to Youtube and played something just to hear the sound and the difference is big, like 50% bigger. Today I re-installed the free winamp and have the same issue. If I drop the volume in winamp from 100% to 70% the sound almost mute. I don't understand what can be wrong here. My PC volume is fine, other players have like 50% higher volume then winamp itself when I play it.
Please help me out, I can't stay in quiet at my home place, there is always a song what we listen.
In conclusion:
Winamp has lost from his volume like 50% in parallel with any other players, where, winamp volume is 100% (at 60-70% almost mute himself), if I give more volume to my winamp it's ok, but if I play something (i.e. a movie with another player) would be extremely loud and have problems with my neighbors.

Thank you for your time.

Indeed it does that the win7, but it's not that problem. And all volume in my PC is at max even at players, the only volume that I give is from my 5.1 system. So if I play a movie in bsplayer the volume is much higher then the music at winamp. This just happened from nowhere (the winamp volume issue), I didn't even was at my PC, my monitor was turned off and the music was on; really don't know what to do or what to check, I though some dll file become corrupted or a bad uptade or something but non of that.
It was fine so far, I have win7 64bit like 3 months now and had no problem with this winamp just now.
I'm really pi##ed off cos this was the player where I was listening music, now if this matter can't be fixed I suppose that I will change to another player (if there is something like winamp).
Conclusion:
- all my volume in PC are at 100% and all players that I use have the same volume
- if I try to play winamp and them compare the sound loudness with i.e. Youtube or any other player, it's at lest 50% difference (that is winamp sound is 50% less then any other sound)

Hi Azor,

Some of the input and output plug-ins (official and 3rd party) have separate volume control ability. Check the configurations of each plug-in you have installed and disable their volume control options. The "in_midi.dll" and "out_ds.dll" come to mind (and the 3rd party "out_maiko.dll"), but there could be others.

You also did not confirm that it's not the Windows volume mixer keeping the max Winamp volume lower than other apps and/or system sounds.

Don't know if this might be related to your problem but here goes:

Winamp have a bug where if you play any midi file your Windows volume control for Winamp (not your Windows main volume control and not your Winamp volume control - see pic) drops to something like 20%. You must change the volume in your system mixer if you want it back.

ClassicPro© v2.01 : This plugin allows you to use cPro skins in Winamp. ClassicPro skins are all SUI skins and loads very quickly. ClassicPro skins is even easier to skin than Winamp Classic skins. A new layout have been added since version 2.

Yes, and to keep it from happening again, the volume control in "in_midi.dll" must be disabled (set to "none").
