Media Keys Don't Work If Winamp Isn't Active Window

I believe I'm pretty much had this issue for some time but it has never really bothered me enough to seek help (I don't often use the media keys on my keyboard).

I am running Winamp Pro 5.63 on Windows 8 Professional 64-bit (I had the same issue on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit). I just today got a Logitech G710 keyboard (I had the same issue with the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard I just replaced). I have no third-party plugins installed.

The issue is that my media keys on my keyboard (Play/Pause, Stop, Last Track, Next Track) do not work if Winamp isn't the "Active" or "In Focus" window. If I click on Winamp to make it the active window then all of my media keys work perfectly fine. As soon as I click to a different application, like Chrome or World of Warcraft, then Winamp will no longer respond to the media keys. This makes using the media keys pretty much pointless, since I would mainly use them to control Winamp while it's minimized.

I do not have this issue if I use Windows Media Player. WMP responds perfectly to the media keys whether it is minimized or active. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi,

I'm using a Logitech MX 3200 wireless keyboard and mouse combo. My media keys work with Winamp when it is not the active window. I have the Winamp global hotkeys feature disabled and I'm using the latest version of setpoint, 6.51.8.

Have you tried checking Logitech's support for your model?

Winamp Pro v5.666.3516 fully-patched - Quinto Black CT v3.6 skin
Windows 10 Home 64-bit v21H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system
