Missing Plugin Window

Hi,

The Settings Window for the Shoutcast DSP Plugin has vanished. I can't find it anywhere and I am unsure of how to solve this issue.

We have been using winamp and the Shoutcast Plugin for some time now and have never had this issue and I have been trying to solve it for the past 2 hours.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

is one of two things

a) it's minimised and you need to bring it back (look for a shoutcast like icon in the notification area).

b) it's not running or the window was closed (not minimised). go to preferences -> Plug-ins -> DSP/Effect and re-select the Source DSP entry.

I have tried both of these fixes and neither of them have worked for me. There isn't an icon in the Notification area and I have tried to restart the plugin and that hasn't helped either. Is there any particular settings I need in order to see the notification in the notification area?

i wouldn't worry about the notification icon aspect - would have been obvious if that was the case.

i assume you've restarted Winamp as well?
what version of Winamp and the Source DSP are you using?

Yep, I've restarted Winamp and the Source DSP.

Winamp v.5.63
Source DSP v.2.2.3

first thing, install the version from http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....17#post2896817

second if that still doesn't help then go to %appdata%\Winamp\Plugins and open dsp_sc.ini and delete the WindowLeft and WindowTop lines (have a feeling it might be off-screen).

Also, just to note, the plugin is working as I have managed to get the Stream back up, however the window is still not appearing anywhere.

ah, that matches with the hunch in my post above. best to make that edit but still use that version of the Source DSP.

Yep that's it sorted. Had wondered if the window had just vanished off screen but didn't know how to sort it out.

Thanks for the Help, Very much appreciated.

have made a note of this thread as i should probably put in some handling to get it back onto the screen on loading if it's off-screen.

glad you're sorted now.
