Loading music to Ipod

Okay so I warn you guys I am a bit of a novice when it comes to things like this...I am generally a plug in play person...but I can follow directions pretty well

I have an older Ipod one with out camera or mic.... I do have the latest ios that I know of 4.2.1

I sync'd with itunes in the last few months in order to get the newest...and then uploaded my music to the ipod...originally really only used the touch for the apps as I had all my music on a nano and had lost that computer...and wasn't able to move music over...(my sister was able to fix all that for me...) on my laptop..which now has a dead power cable...So I am using my hubby's computer and can't sync with Itunes without loosing music...Stupid Stupid..why can't you use your Ipod on more than one computer...some families have more than one computer....and more than one Ipod....

I am trying to move an audio book to my Ipod I am actually using this as an audio device now LOL

Okay so I downloaded the newest version of winamp the version that comes up on main winamp page....made my playlist....and then went to move the playlist to my ipod...but it is not showing up under devices.

Is this going to be easier to wait until I can get a power cable for my laptop and then move them using itunes....

Okay sorry when I re-read that I was rambling.

My question is, my Ipod is originally synced to my laptop...which has a fried ac adapter....I have put some audio books on my husbands laptop. I don't want to sync my ipod to his itunes and was trying to use winamp to bring the audiobooks to my ipod...but when I open winamp it does not show my ipod in the devices list.

winamp only supports some ipods, mostly older ones, pre iOS i believe.

again, you might have more luck with media monkey.
