No Winamp actions in Right-Click options in Windows 7 64-bit
I just installed Winamp on my Windows 7 64 laptop and Desktop and I have no "Enque" or "Play" in Winamp options in the Right-Click Menu on either one.
I've followed the instructions on a couple of the older threads on here referring to this issue but so far nothing. I've associated Winamp with MP3s as the default program. I've turned off Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center in the Control Panel. I've checked all the correct boxes in the Winamp options dialog. Still nothing. I haven't done any registry hacks. It seems all the other threads are people saying, "Try this and cross your fingers" and then the thread dies. I'm a big fan of Winamp. I used it with multiple instances and an external soundcard to DJ in XP. But Winamp is worthless to DJ's without the Right-Click menu actions... Help??? THANKS. |

u looked under prefs > general > file types > shell options?
i recall UAC issues about this. did you get any UAC prompts? did you try starting winamp via "run as administrator" via right click of its shortcut and then adjusting those options? before even doing that, looking at the file types page to see if anything is even selected would the better thing. and holding down the control key when leaving that preference page can be used to force Winamp to re-apply the selected associations (subject to permissions to do so via UAC, etc).
