Can't get Shoutcast Sherwood receiver

Hi, I can't set up internet radio on my Sherwood 606-i receiver. I set the mode to Static, I choose network, then Shoutcast. Then it begins looking for Genre List. Then after a while I get "connection error". I am connected to my router via a 10metre ethernet cable. The internet itself is working. Any ideas? Thanks, Julius

PS I have just discovered my connection is assigned by DHCP so I changed the mode setting from static to DHCP. Now when I hit Shoutcast it immediately goes into "Connection Error" without even searching for Genre List.

can u clarify?

you are asking us here why your receiver isn't able to get shoutcast?

since www.shoutcast.com works i would suggest the problem is with the receiver. try searching for a specific station on the receiver, like wkps or the lion, and see if that helps.
