D. Sutherland gets very polarized opinions when brought up in conversations with people I know. Personally I've enjoyed the movies I've seen him in. The two that came to mind right away are M*A*S*H (not the TV show, but the movie that came earlier) and Backdraft, although I've seen him in a lot of other places too. Some of my friends/family love him, some hate him; just don't like his style I guess, but I have liked his work.
