It's funny. I think there is some mercy in the human condition. Your daughter was puke sick and worried the shit out of you; you're the one that's hammered. She's all smiling and likely doesn't remember how sick she was. It was like that with my mom a lot. She'd be in the intensive care unit for a couple weeks, get better, be all smiling.... I was the one that was ground up, worried, in the ER in the middle of the night. She'd end up good, I'd feel like I was rode hard and put away wet.
