unable to listen the boradcasting song in shoutcast

i) I have configured shoutcast (sc_serv) and trans decoder(sc_trans) proper.
ii) Able to listen the songs playing from the playlist by using the stream url.
iii) But i want to listen to the song what i am broadcasting instead of playing from the playlist.

I am tired of searching many forum, can any one plzzzzzz provide the steps on how to listen to the song which is broadcasting.

SHOUTcast doesn't work that way. you just listen to whatever the source is playing at the time and you cannot connect to the stream and listen to a specific song (as i believe you're trying to do).

I read it that he CAN listen to songs OTHER than the one that's broadcasting

perhaps the 30+ seconds delay is confusing him

Thank you guys for your quick responses.
Just to make my question little more clear,

1. I am using edcast encoder which is taking input from my iphone through LINE IN of my dell laptop with windows 7.

2. I am setting up all configuration like
Host : IP address of my shout cast server
Port: 8000
Password:
Mount / Stream

But when I play the music in my iphone, it shows that it getting transmitted from edcast but when I test the LISTEN URL of shoutcast, it does not reflect that. I can only hear the songs which i had given in my playlist on shoutcast server and not the song which I am playing in my iphone. I am using MP3 LAME.

Please help me with this.

perhaps edcast isn't working. wouldn't surprise me - with edcast, are you trying to connect to sc_serv or sc_trans

looks like you're connecting edcast to sc_serv - if sc_trans is already sourcing sc_serv, then edcast wont be able to until you stop sc_trans


or

connect edcast to djport of sc_trans - though, that's not likely to work, since edcast is very old and unmaintained
