based on the fun i've had with my nexus 4 and the wifi sync, it's most likely something else running on the network (legitimately in most cases) which is interfering with what Winamp / WAFA are trying to send (as i have to disable the VMWare networking to get it to work as it does something weird with the messages being sent over the network). in an ideal world this should have been sorted out years back but alas that hasn't (though hopefully with some of the Cloud features that will be coming will mean there's a chance to get it properly looked into and hopefully resolved...).
