see if this helps
1) download wizip.
2)collect skin files, and save them in winzip as a zip file. 3)Go to start menu -> setting and click on folder options. 4)click the view tab at the top. 5)Look for the box that says 'Hide file extensions for known file types' Make sure it is unchecked. 6)locate your zipped skin 7)either right click, and choose rename, or single left click on the filename itself. 8)rename you file to 'whateveryouwant.wsz' 9)submit to winamp.com *sigh* [whine] Jaaaaaaayyyynnn [/whine] ...a blatant person. |

*chuckle* I'm not gonna make fun of it; only thing is, if I'd made it, I'd charge 10 bucks to download it. Mike'd be rollin in dough.

Well thanks guys,I lost a bit of interest, lost a little more and then I regained some so I finished it.Thanks a million for all your help and sorry for waiting 6 months to show my appreciation.Since I'm here and you seem to know what to do,how do I submit.I think you go to winamp.com and go to skins and then submit.Am I right?
Thanks again PS Visit 10-David.com for SWAT3 stuff and to see my skin before it reaches Winamp.com.On second thought, don't :-) |

about .wsz... wouldn't it be nice if AVS presets distributed with the skin (placed inside the wsz) would be automatically extracted to the ...winamp\plugins\avs\skinname folder when the skin is first loaded?
Oh well....NS are busy enough, I know. Just my $0.02 |

That can be done if you PiMP the file with the AVS presets in a "Skin Pack", but than you would have to submit through plugins, as it would be an *.exe file

A lot of people do that, the problem is to get them installed in the right file while during installation of your skin. I'll see if I can send you a sample by email.
BTW, help me out please: http://www.winamp.com/components/det...ponentId=68482 Sample is in the mail ![]() [Edited by wildrose-wally on 06-30-2001 at 04:00 PM]
