Music 'skips'

I'm running WinAmp for Android 1.4.10, on my Samsung Galaxy S3. A few of my mp3's seem to 'skip' - jumping ahead or back a few seconds. I haven't been able to determine any reason for it - not related to phone call interruptions or Android background apps, at least not that I can see. It's a little annoying.

I may have ripped some CD's at a very high bitrate, would this cause it?

Hi

Have you enabled the Notification Player Controls?
If yes, change it back to the default "Basic" setting.

The fix for this will hopefully be included in the next release update.

If it's not that, then I'm not entirely sure, tbh.

Yeah, I had it set to Basic. I re-ripped the offending CD at a slightly lower bitrate and it seems ok. Will play it by ear from here on. Thanks !
