Thanks for your time, guys. But no, robdog, I never listen to my songs using my phone's internal speaker, only earphones/headphones, so the possibility of being some king of distortion imposed by the low-quality speakers have to be ruled out. I forgot to mention, but all my song files have replay gain info stored on their tags, and Winamp for Windows recognizes the tags and adjusts the volume accordingly.
Nevertheless, as DrO mentioned, it seems to be some kind of decoder limitation for I have transcoded all my tracks from AAC to MPEG Layer-3, and now my Winamp for Android is able to apply my equalizer and replay gain settings accordingly. But, contrary to what you've said, DrO, I haven't been able to find any kind of mention of this limitation on WA for Android's documentation. Anyway, I really appreciate your help. I've had to transcode almost 15GB of tracks to MP3, but it was worth the effort. I just wish the Winamp staff could be more careful with the documentation, as there are people who could get really upset because of this lack of warning. (Also, I apologize for my poor english. It's not my primary language...) |
