No AAC support from SHOUTcast Radio?

Why Winamp for Android does not support AAC Shoutcast streams?
It will be displayed only mp3 streams.
This is pretty weak!
I use a Google Nexus 7 with Android 4.2.2.

the simple answer from what i understand of things is its because of the nightmare that it is to support it on Android due to the massive variation in native AAC support (or more importantly that lack off support) on devices, so currently it's just not enabled i believe.

Ok, but many Shoutcast Player, as TuneIn, support it without problems.
But the great and powerful Winamp does not do it? I wonder about that. ^^

i am only going on what i've been told previously so maybe what i know is wrong and you've found a bug. but until i can find out from someone on the WAFA team, what i've said is the best i know about the situation (or alternatively i could just not have said anything....)

I assume these other apps pay the AAC license fee?
