I can't seem to get RG to work. I tried the instructions I was sent to from within the app, but they talked about menu items I just do not get when I hold-tap a song or album, to "Send to ReplayGain"

Thanks for any help. I need to process all the songs to allow my Tab t5o be used for both music and navigation on the road.

Nobody? Is it crippled, and just there in concept at the moment?

Corollary question would be, I guess: Can I alter the playback volume of Winamp in Android without affecting system levels?

ReplayGain calculation is a feature of the Winamp for Windows program.
(supported formats = mp3, mp4/m4a, aac, wma, flac, ogg)

Winamp for Android Pro can only read ReplayGain values (when the relevant setting is enabled).
(supported formats = mp3, m4a/aac, flac)

These are mp3s. They were wav in itunes and I converted to mp3.

The problem still seems to be that when I hold-press on a song or album, the menus that are shown in the instructions for operating PlayGain just do not show. Setting stuff in PlayGain seems to make no difference. The most dramatic failure is when I set the ReplayGain to On (ticked) then ask to Adjust All Tracks by -12dB. Nothing happens. (this may well NOT be what I want to do, but it will be the most obvious parameter) So then I try to read the help, that I am taken to by the app itself, and the menu options are just not there to set up ReplayGain.

Are there instructions to get PlayGain working on an android tab?

I have one album so far (It's The Best of Cold Chisel: All for You) that simply refuses to respond to Winamp's controls. The Equaliser makes no difference in band loudness or overall loudness. Switching the EQ on and off makes no difference.

So what, apart from Cold Chisel's normal desire to be loud and obnoxious, is making this one album not accept Winamp's EQ?

All of these albums were taken from a wav version and mp3'd by iTunes, then copied to my Android Tab. There may be other problem albums, but of the 10 or so that I have tried, so far this is the only one.

Sorry. I did not read your reply fully.

If winamp android cannot assign RG valuese, why are all the contropls there? Why is it not clearly said that I can't actuallky use them? I wasted quite a bit of time on a dead horse.
