Managing Winamp Locker with an FTP client

Why can't users manage (upload and download) mp3s from their Wnamp Locker with an ftp client?

because

1) most users dont even know what ftp is (no that doesn't mean that you need to explain what it is, because most of us here do know)
2) allowing ftp allows for formats other than the formats intended.
3) no advertising = no profit. no profit = no service.
