no one wanted to fund development for native cue playback support in 2010 so it being added natively is not deemed a high priority as not enough people clearly want the feature.

the 3rd party plug-in is unsupported and there's been no sign of the plug-in author for a few years. you can try to contact them to get an update for the plug-in but i doubt you'll manage to get a response let alone an update.
