ok im new, just got winamp and im trying to get my files from napster to play on it. i save them in the right directory, the one your winamp files are supposed to go in but they arent playing. is it the file type thats messing it up? i thought it could play MP3's! please help me smart people! help! email, im whatever!! just help! im trying to save my poor little napster files before theyre obliterated!

Why, you're preparing to uninstall Napster?
Anyhow, what exactly happens to Winamp when you try to play an MP3? And what do you mean "the one your winamp files are supposed to go in"? There is no such directory — Winamp can play files wherever they are on your computer. Smart? ![]()

this is what you do.
i have a felling you have not done what you think with your files. DO NOT ERASE NAPSTER!! ok i am assuming everything is on your c: drive so... if you open winamp then at the bottom of the play list there is a little button it says add dir click that then double click the c: drive icon then scroll thru the list and look for program files double click on program files then keep scroling for the file that says napster double click that then look for the folder that says music double click that then highlight the folder that says complet then click the button that says add that should do it. if you are going to erase napster you need to move the music file out of napster first! |
