Launch Shoutcast player from desktop shortcut (URL)

I would like to be able to launch the Shoutcast Flash player directly from a desktop shortcut (Windows 7 or XP). If I use what is in the player's title bar (http://www.shoutcast.com/shoutcast_p...&play_status=1) , I get a full browser. I want to be able o launch the SC player directly. Are there additional switches to the above URL? Or is there a way to convert the "Embed Code" into a URL string that can be launched from a Windows desktop shortcut? I've tried various permutations and combinations of the embed code (below) with no success.

<embed src='http://www.shoutcast.com/media/popupPlayer_V19.swf?stationid=http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=718929&play_status=1' quality='high' bgcolor='#ffffff' width='398' height='104' name='popupPlayer_V19' align='middle' allowScriptAccess='always' allowFullScreen='true' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' pluginspage='http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer' ></embed>

Thanks.

J

PS Also, the "Email This" link in the bottom left corner of the player does not seem to work (in Win 7/XP, firefox/chrome/IE).

.

If it doesn´t sit on a background-page...it will allways go fullscreen

Solution: create a small pop-up page with a defined size
put the player on/in it....or use litebox,fancybox...etc.

Personally i would never use the shoutcastplayer for my own website
simply because it contains links that are not in your interest or that are simply broken.

It wont work on iPads/iPhones,Firefox...etc (flash)

the site player is not meant to be run in the manner attempted. it's main aim is just for use on shoutcast.com and someone thought it'd be good to make it available elsewhere but it is limited (on purpose in some cases) and trying to treat it like a desktop app is not going to work due to the fun of using flash. i expect the site player as-is will be killed off soon anyway.

If you have issues with Winamp or still want to get it, ensure
you get v5.666 build 3516 and the required plug-in updates

Thanks, DrO.
alfabravo14 - I don't want to use it on a website - I just want to launch it from my desktop at work.

Thanks for your answers.

If its locked down, why get it if your work place don't allow winamp all together. If you are not allowed to have it on a work computer, no reason to get it at all. js (shruggs)

Not looking to install anything, including winamp. Shoutcast flash player works fine at work. I am just looking for a way to create one-click shortcut to launch it directly from my desktop.
