Shoutcast shutting down
I am running Shoutcast 2 on Ubuntu 10.04 on a VPS. There are three instances running on this server, all relaying three different streams. I am having problems with the one that gets the most traffic. The instance is shutting down mysteriously at random intervals. When I check the log, there is nothing at the end to indicate a shutdown. What I do see are lots of attempted connections from the same IP, and it always looks something like this:
2013-12-16 14:06:01 I msg:[DST 188.6.172.117:50928 sid=1] SHOUTcast 1 client connection accepted. Dalvik/1.6.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.0.4; crane-evb Build/IMM76D) 2013-12-16 14:06:01 E msg:[DST 188.6.172.117:50928 sid=1] Socket error while waiting to send data. err=Connection reset by peer(104) 2013-12-16 14:06:01 I msg:[DST 188.6.172.117:50928 sid=1] SHOUTcast 1 client connection closed (0 seconds) [Bytes: 40960] Agent: `Dalvik/1.6.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.0.4; crane-evb Build/IMM76D)' It's not the same IP every time the instance dies, but there will be pages in the log from whatever IP is trying to connect. It's usually always a Dalvik/1.6.0 agent. I've taken to blocking whatever the problem IP is in the firewall, but another one will come along. Any suggestions? |
